Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways is the national airlines of Qatar and has its headquarters in Doha. It is amongst the fastest growing airlines in the world .It has got the "five star airline" status from Skytrax. The other airlines to get this rating are Kingfisher Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Asiana Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines Qatar Airways was the first airline in the world to get through IATA’s new, strict IOSA safety audit. It operates its flights from Doha International Airport.

.Qatar Airways has flights to 85 destinations and Qatar Airways Cargo goes to 19 (including 15 destinations served by Qatar Airways also) destinations in 53 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and Australia from its base at Doha International Airport.

Qatar Airways of late made an announcement that it will start on 6 new destinations during 2010. The new destinations on the cards are Ankara, Bangalore, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Tokyo and Sydney. The induction of these new destinations will bring the number of destinations Qatar Airways serves from 85 to 91 destinations worldwide.
Qatar Airways in the past flew an all-Airbus fleet but now has a mix of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

First Class
Qatar Airways provides First Class passengers with 6.5 feet of legroom and seats that turn into flat beds with feather duvets. First Class seats are set with massage functions and an entertainment system.
Business Class
Qatar Airways presents Business Class passengers fully flat 180-degree horizontal beds in a 2-2-2 configuration onboard a fleet of new Boeing 777 aircraft. The Boeing 777 aircraft are used solely on flights to the USA and Australia - New York (JFK), Washington, DC (IAD), Houston (IAH) and Melbourne (MEL) - and also on some routes throughout the Qatar Airways network including Bangkok (BKK), Singapore (SIN), Hong Kong (HKG), Manila (MNL), Jeddah (JED), and Kuala Lumpur (KUL).

Qatar Airways has commenced with new Business Class seats onboard its newly delivered A320 aircraft with IFE seat-back PTVs in every seat. It will bring in the new seats in each forthcoming new A320 aircraft.

Economy Class
Qatar Airways Economy Class was referred to as the best in the world in the 2009 Skytrax Awards. Passengers on board 777 aircraft are provided with touch-screen TV's.Qatar Airways bought two A320 aircraft with individual seat-back personal televisions in every seat in economy class. The IFE is set with the most up-to-date Thales entertainment system.

I'm planning a trip on US Airways with a stop in Phoenix. Is flying US Airways really terrible?

I'm planning to fly one way from Burbank,CA to Milwaukee on US Airways. First I would be flying from Burbank to Phoenix and then I would have to change plans to get to Milwaukee. US Airways uses an Airbus 320 for both flights. Many people say that US Airways is a screwy airline with poor customer service. On this flight does anyone know if any food or snacks is served?
Another option I'm considering is flyinh Southwest from Burbank to Las Vegas and then flying Midwest Airlines from Las Vegas to Milwaukee.

If you have to go to Vegas. Jet Blue. US Air is thumbs down. I took a short flight should have been 1 hour, 7 hours later we were finally aloud to board. I could have walked, next time I will. It took my 9 hours for a 1 hour flight. Driving in rush hour traffic is only 5 hours. Never again. No matter how much it cost. About food you should get a soda or water, maybe chips. Call the airlines they will tell you.
