Can i learn to fly with a complex aircraft (Dads Bellanca Cruisair) as my primary trainer?

A Bellanca 14-13-2 Cruisair is a 150hp single engine, conventional gear (tail wheel), retractable, 4 place aircraft built in 1947. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bellanca_14-13

Nothing in the rules says you can't.

Personally I prefer a tail-wheel aircraft. it may be less forgiving in a less than perfect landing but you learn to be a better pilot that way. After the Cruisair you will find a nose-wheel aircraft easy to land.

Don't break it, some parts are getting scarce.
