How much money should I Budget for a trip to Shanghai, Macau and Hong Kong?
I am vacationing to China, Hong Kong and Macau. The airline tickets and hotels are all paid for. My trip is as follows: 5 days in Shanghai, 5 days in Hong Kong and 2 days in Macau. Spending money will be mostly spent on food, drinks, taxi's, etc. I was planning on about $2,000 US dollars for the entire trip. I'd like a combination of some deluxe and mid priced restaurants, etc. along with money for going out at night to bars, etc. Looking forward to hearing your responses! Thanks.
Angelo haha, that's my "brother"'s name, and i'm guess you're italian, so i ma tell you the truth, 2,000USD, for expenses of your entire trip is far from enough. Not to mention about Shanghai, which is the place that things cost reasonably cheaper than the other two. So we will neglect that for now. However for HongKong HK for short, 2000 USD can't get you anywhere. 2,000 USD is approximately 2 * 7= 14,000 HK currency. it may seems to be lots of money, however it is not. Here's an example. A meal from MacDonalds here in nyc, costs around 7 dolars, a meal in hongkong costs about 50ish i would say. Restaurants definitely costs way more and especially night clubs and stuffs. i would say bringing 10,000USD, that way you will be in heaven, enjoying things you can't with 10,000USD here.
