Im flying out of SFO to FRA through the airline Lufthansa. Any tips on flying internationally?

Ok so this is the first time i am flying internationally. Its a direct flight so im not worried about layovers, BUT ill admit im very scared. Not so much the flying part but the checking in and landing part. Ive never gone through customs or know German of any sort. I have always been by myself when flying domestically but its just the international part that scares me. I guess im just looking for what to expect when im checking in and what to expect once i land. And does anyone know how many luggage's i can check-in through Lufthansa? Oh yea and what exactly should i carry with me on the plane? Can i take electronics?

Relax! Call Lufthansa about the baggage, number of pieces weight, size. You can carry a laptop, DVD player and electronic games. I would not carry anything that the guards could see as deadly. Customs is a breeze as long as you are not carrying contraband. Enough people speak English. Try to sleep and avoid excess alcohol on the flight.
