Tips For Writing A Newspaper Article - 4 Tips To Writing A Good Newspaper Article
1. Write your news articles about stories that are recent. Your readers are going to read your articles based on the stories you're discussing. Nobody wants to read something that they aren't interested in. So, write your copies in a way that meets their needs and have a direct effect on their lives. Also, you could target their emotions. Write about a story that will push their buttons.
2. Stick with the truth. If you write your news articles with the intention to lie your way to a quick story, you will lose your readers interest and destroy your credibility. You're supposed to educate and inform your readers, not make up stories. So, ensure that your stories are true. Be very careful when selecting the information that you will be including in your article.
3. Keep it short and honest. It is a good idea to remind yourself that you're writing to keep your readers informed about the events going on around them. You're not trying to win an award or literary contest. So, make sure your readers understand your stories and stick with the terms that are easy to identify with. Also, make your paragraphs short and include many breaks in your article body. This will make it much easier for your readers to get information from your articles.
4. Give your readers complete information. You don't want to leave your readers wondering what your story is about. Give them everything they need right away. Include the details and leave out the fluff. Remember, you want your readers to understand your news article.

I know what you are going through I am the Editor of my school news paper i pick things through our different sections. You may want articles on current news i the school. And then current news and topics in the world like whats going in the government. Then you may what to interview people on certain activities like football games: coaches, cheerleaders, players. Band & Choir concerts you may want to talk to the section leaders. Basically a reporter its all about resources. If you saw it on Good Morning America one morning you may want to see what the students at your school think about it. If you saw make-up or fashion tips on the Tyra Banks Show you may want to use that in your paper. But it's all about resources...Have Fun, Don't Stress Too Much(Leave that for the editor to do:) ) Good Luck!!!
